Statement from the National Public Health Emergency Team – 21st February
February 21, 2021 ADMIN 0The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed of 1 additional death among people with COVID-19 in Ireland. There have now been 4,136 deaths of people with COVID-19 in Ireland. 679 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. As of 8am today, 744 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 148 are in ICU. There have been 45 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
There have now been 215,057 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland
Numbers of people vaccinated:
As of last Thursday (18 February), there have been 326,515 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in Ireland:
- 205,995 people have received their first dose
- 120,520 people have received their second dose
