Support Cathal & Co in their quest to raise €5,000 to fight Cancer

May 3, 2019 0

To celebrate being 10 years cancer free in 2019 Cathal Gibbons was looking for a challenge. Having done Hell & Back and Tough Mudder over the past few years, Cathal wanted to step it up in 2019. In order to really challenge himself and replicate the struggles one might go though over 24hrs receiving cancer treatment (tiredness, aching muscles etc, but hopefully no vomiting), Cathal’s plan is to take on the Spartan Tricfecta weekend in Andorra in June 2019.

runner Cathal’s plan is to do all three, the Beast (21km) on the Saturday and then the Super (13km) and Sprint (7km) on the Sunday. Cathal has 4 people willing to take on the challenge with him, his brother Padhraic, brother in law John Duff, almost brother in law Jason McGlynn and a very good friend, Owen Coyle. Their target is to raise €5,000 split 50/50 between the Irish Cancer Society and Balbriggan Cancer Support group. This is Cathal’s very ambitious plan for 2019.

You can support Cathal by coming along to the pub quiz, next Friday May 10th at 8pm in the Balrothery Inn.  Table of four €40 or you can make a donation online HERE
