September 26, 2013 0

Back in June we brought you the story of Tara Nixon from the Buion Realt na Mara Girl Guides in Balbriggan who was in the process of completing the Chief Commissioners Award. Tara had been working on her programme for the award for eight months when she had to challenge herself and learn new skills and to pass on the skills to her company and to fund raise for charity. She did all these things successfully and received her award last Saturday.

The best of the project entries go forward to the interview stage, and the best of those interviewed will receive the Chief Commissioner Award. Not all candidates submitting a folder may be called for interview and not all interviewees may be successful.

Tara is the first girl guide from the Balbriggan group to undergo and achieve the Chief Commissioners Award and can now wear her silver pin with great pride. Congratulations Tara, what a fantastic achievement!
