Public Representative, Tony Murphy, challenges Fingal County Council regarding the closure of a section of the Naul Road in Balbriggan without an appropriate Road Closure Licence being in place. “I have been contacted by numerous residents of Balbriggan regarding the undue traffic congestion experienced by them over the past month by the unofficial road closure on the Naul Road at Millfield Shopping Centre.” says Murphy, who is running as an independent candidate in the Fingal Local elections on 23rd May next.

There are currently two electrical poles sitting in the middle of the road, preventing completion of the project. “It is difficult to understand why Fingal County Council could not coordinate the works with other relevant parties in order to complete the job in a timely manner and not cause such inconvenience to the people of Balbriggan”, Murphy stated.
