Tony Murphy Declares IndependenceFebruary 11, 2014 ADMIN 0
Public Representative, Tony Murphy, has declared his intention to run as an Independent Candidate to represent Balbriggan in Fingal County Council in the Local Elections on May 23rd. “I did not get sufficient commitment from the government party to deliver for the people of Balbriggan” says Murphy, who was offered a position on the Fine Gael ticket but has decided to run as an independent.
“I have lived and worked in Balbriggan for over 30 years” he says “and have demonstrated my commitment to the people of this town through involvement with sports, business and social organisations”. “I have a clear understanding of what the people of Balbriggan want for the town and I know that I can make the difference in Fingal County Council in securing what is needed”.
He stated that he would not be compromised by “old style politics” in his endeavours to deliver for Balbriggan.
