There is a yellow warning in place for wind from 3am until 8pm and for rainfall from 6am until 9pm on Saturday 15th February.  Very squally southerly winds veering southwesterly with mean speeds 50 to 65 km/hr gusts to around 100 km/hr, strongest on exposed coasts and hills. Winds moderating from the Northwest later.

2020 has certainly started of with a bang, with storm Dennis following storm Brendan (13-Jan-20) and storm Ciara (09-Feb-20)

People are being advised to be aware of the threat of coastal and river flooding during the status on Saturday.
